Understated, not well-known natural sanctuary that offers a well-maintained paved loop (20 min walk) and larger off-trail loop mostly in white sand (over an hour walk). The park is free and open sunrise to sunset. Not much sun cover during the day, except off-trail when in the pine forest, so park can get hot in the afternoons. A dozen or so gopher turtles are usually active, and occasionally there are viewings of birds in the retention pond, or snakes or squirrels. If you're lucky, at dawn or dusk, you can catch a sighting of foxes. The views from the top of the towers at the northern end of the park are the best views to be had. This is an understated, dry landscape that isn't the most popular. The park is not well-visited, so it's mostly a private experience in the sand dunes in between the roar of traffic from US1 and then further, I95. There are no developed facilities nor trash cans inside the fencing.

Such a great place to get out and get touch with nature and wildlife. A very uplifting energy. Recommended for anyone of all ages to visit! Nice walking paths, some go off on their own trail. Looking for a place to check out, definitely make this one of them!

Gorgeous scrub area. I've grown up around this area for 32 years, and can tell that a lot of work was put in to make this area better. Not only are the views from the towers nice, but the natural scrub area itself is well maintained and you can tell that the people that walk it care about it.

One of the last remaining natural areas in SE FL. Paved loop trail and a an unpaved longer loop trail.

A really tranquil and beautiful gem. I enjoyed hiking the trails and seeing all that nature had to offer there. It's Gets really hot so best to go early in the day or in the evening. There is shade though on the trails so if you can only go during the hottest time of the day (10am to 4pm) you'll be ok. Bring lots of water to hydrate.
