The batteries to my keypad lock died and I didn't have the key with me. I called and was quoted a service call of 29 (only takes cash!!) . When the guy came he said he couldn't open it without drilling it out (destroying a 200 smart lock) for 179. Said it couldn't be picked. I said NO and had my trusted LICENSED locksmith come the next day (he was sick that day) and he opened it in two minutes flat (picked it) for 60 and made an extra key for 10. He told me about these shady "locksmiths" and told me beware of them. Be warned!

Amazing service. Highly recommend
I called to get an estimate and see how long it would take for someone to get to me. After I talked to them I realized I did not have the funds and told the person on the phone I would call back. I was then bombarded by many calls from 3 different phone numbers along with text. I then got a text saying someone was already at my location and when I stepped outside they were there. He asked how much I could pay and I told him I only have 50. he said he would charge me 65 and I told him that I couldn’t do anything until I got a hold of my dad to see if he could transfer the funds. The man who came then proceeded to start the process and I told him I could not pay and still could n get a hold of my father. I did not feel I could leave because the person literally had the tools to open my car with the keys inside. I told him again I didn’t have they money to pay and he continued to open my car. And said he was just trying to help. After I repeatedly told him I only had 50 he opened my car and said I can pay the rest later. I am not happy at all with the service and felt like I was forced to let him open my car.
Service was fast and it took less than 30 seconds for him to get into my apartment, but 280 seemed a bit high.....
The technician was here fast and was very nice, but it cost me 180 to open my desk drawer. When I called, they said it would be 39.99 plus labor. The guy was here for less than an hour. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the technician was nice. What a rip off. UPDATE: I just called to speak to the owner (who's not in) and the guy who answered the phone said, yes, I'm the manager, but you didn't call us, it was another company. Funny, the tech didn't have a receipt, but I have the receipt online from my card that says NVD Locksmith #PG3Y, and guess what, the phone number is for Fixed Rate Locksmith. Now I want to remove ALL the stars and leave them 0............Originally the tech wanted to charge me more to go home and get a drill to drill the lock. I am the one who provided the drill or it would have cost me probably 280.00. Since when does a lock smith make 140 to use their customers tools. SHAME SHAME SHAME ON YOU!
Very quick, respectful and thoughtful service. Not only did He show up after a 3am call. I had absolutely no wait time, for him to come unlock my house. He was also very informative on ways for me to stay safe in my home. I would recommend these guys any day. Thanks again.
I wasn’t paying attention and failed to grab the keys before I locked us out through the back door in the garage. My husband promptly got his phone and located Fixed Rate Locksmith and the gentleman they sent provided fast and friendly service and stood by the fee originally quoted and let us back into our house. Thank you so much! If needed, we will definitely use Fixed Rate Locksmith again.
