Sakura themed kaiseki for the ongoing sakura festival. Service is excellent. Reminds me of dinners at the ryokan I stayed at in Japan. Food overall is good. Flavors are mild and tastes closer to Japanese food you would have more in Japan then in the US. There are some dishes that are definitely more catered towards the American palate.

Amazing! We booked by phone a few weeks in advance. An intense dining experience where you can watch the chefs prepare your food in front of you. We had the shou (200/person) menu. 1st: 7 little bites, all perfection. 2nd: striped jack, toro, and prawn. Premium soy sauce and yuzu foam. Delicious. 3rd: scallop, snapper, wrapped in lettuce with freshly shaved truffles. Wish I had bread like in a French restaurant to soak up every last bit of sauce. 4th: halibut flan. I've never had anything like this before. Fabulous. Could eat about 14 of these. 5th: Wagyu beef, thinly sliced cooked in a pot before you on a bed of vegetable and mushrooms. What's not to love? 6th: Tempura of 3 types. Very well done. 7th: A little palate cleanser with a vinegar sauce. 8th: Sushi. Top notch. 9th: Amazing miso soup. 10th: Dessert. Cheese cake with vegetables and house-made ice cream. Premium sake pairing reported to be well worth it. Worth the price. Make reservations and go.

Speechless! This is a hidden gem. If you are looking for lavish decoration with 'retail' Japanese food experience, this is not the place for you. If you are into crafted Japanese dishes that focuses on quality, presentation, and taste, this is THE place to go to. Chef Kaoru has 19-year chef experience in Japan. He then went to France, Spain and London for a few years. Chef's wife is the waitress. This is definitely a small business that I will go back time and time again. The dishes were not retail Japanese. One of the reviewers gave them 1-star because they didn't have a particular roll. This is an Omakase restaurant. It pretty much means chef's choice/creation. So don't complain if you are looking for common dishes. It also means they need to plan ahead. So please don't give them a low rating because they didn't want to sit you without a reservation. We went in for the 200 per person Omakase. We definitely did sense some European influence. Most of the food ingredients were imported from Japan and are of the best quality available. Check Kaoru changes it up monthly so you do get seasonal ingredients. Check Kaoru was shy and does not speak a lot of English. He let the dishes speak for themselves. Service was top notch. A lot of Sake and Japanese liquor to choose from. The place is tucked in behind an old complex. It is unassuming from the outside. We will come back to enjoy and support them for sure.

We got the 200 menu and while that’s obviously quite pricey I think it was definitely worth it. The staff was very friendly and answered all of our questions, as well as helped us choose a great sake to match the food. The food itself was absolutely incredible and we walked out still marvelling over all the flavours we tried!

Had an amazing experience at Kaiseki Yuzu. If you want to try authentic Japanese tempura, this is the perfect place to go to. Super friendly staff and great services. I’m very excited to try their kaiseki course next time!

This was for my husbands birthday dinner. Beautifully presented, each plate had a unique flavor. 10 course meal, 100 kaiseki. Only wish there was a noodle or rice dish to complete the meal, didn't feel fully satiated.

Stepping into Yuzu is like walking into a tranquil temple. Excellent service and food that would pass muster in Tokyo, which means it’s really really good.

The fish just melts in your mouth here and the tofu is mindblowing how fantastic it is here. Try the green tea creme brulee!!! It will melt your brain. So good!!!!
