It's a far cry from what it once was. It's OK to stop on your way somewhere else -but I definitely wouldn't make it a destination.

Awesome FREE place to go camping. Yes you can ignore the sign that you need a permit on the way down to the lake. 7day maximum stay. 5 or 6 vaulted toilets. Huge dumpster for trash. Nice beach and views. Water was cold but still worth getting in briefly. Lots of space for big camper vans. Meet many fiendly people during our visit!
