I applied to receive a service dog from Fidos 8 1/2 years ago. I was matched with my service dog, Tank, less than a year later. Tank and the people at Fidos have completely changed my life! For almost 8 years, Tank has assisted me with many tasks (opening/closing doors, laundry, retrieving dropped items, etc) so I can remain independent. Now, he's ready to retire so I've begun training for a successor service dog. I continue to be amazed at the heart with all Fidos volunteers contribute to the organization!
