My extended family all rented this place together for a family function, and it felt like a home away from home. Unfortunately it was raining the day we were there, and the hosts didn't mind at all that 15 people spent the entire day hanging out together in the living room and on the porch. The decor is fun and embodies the classic bed & breakfast style of upstate New York. Clean, comfortable rooms in a variety of sizes allowed for everyone to have some space to themselves, which is good for a big family who are sharing bathrooms. Sitting on the porch was my favorite part!

The atmosphere here is nice and cozy. Friendly staff who met or exceeded my expectations. From walkin to being at our booth took but a matter of minutes. Menu? Well let's just say that it was not a disappointment. Plenty of food that covered just about anything you might want. Filled with delicious pork beef and chicken all grilled to perfection. Our particular order, The barbecue sampler had we both ordered was absolutely fantastic. Local residents, elderly along with tourist from baseball season were amongst the crowd. Most with excitement and longing to receive their meal. If you're in the mood for barbecue this certainly the place to be.
Great place to stay! Very welcoming and comfortable! Our room was perfect for us as we dropped our daughter off at college. Breakfast was delicious with eggs freshly gathered from their own chickens, fresh blueberry pancakes and other yummy fixings! Will definitely stay again!
We loved our stay at this beautiful B&B. Lori and Dave are wonderful hosts. We stayed in the sunflower yellow room. Lori has incredible test in decorating. The amenities were great. All kinds of coffees, teas, snacks, desserts and candies available in the common dining/living area. The weather was nice, so we had breakfast on the front porch. We felt so at home and will stay here again when we are in the area.
We've had the absolute pleasure of staying here twice - both times it was amazing and the owners were hospitable and the service was impeccable. Food was delicious and it felt like we were staying with friends in a quaint, comfortable hotel. So helpful with everything and so considerate. We didn't get much time to visit with Dave but Lori is a very warm and generous host. Because of factors outside of our control, we planned for three years to visit this location, while Lori was very accommodating throughout. The room was very homey, and Lori made special arrangements to make our young sons - who grew three years larger from our original booking - more comfortable. Overall, the house is thoughtfully arranged. There are great areas to relax, and Lori provides options to allow for snacking throughout the day - which our sons greatly appreciated. The house is old, and has lots of character and the bathrooms are shared and somewhat small. I don't recall ever staying in a B&B where this wasn't the case. It seems that everything in this part of the state is off the beaten path, but Laurens offers nice proximity to Cooperstown, and everything that we wanted to see. I strongly recommend a stay at Brookside Inn.
It is in Lauren's NY.the rooms are very clean and beautiful. It is a great place to go to stay overnight.the people are very pleasant and helpful.
The Ultimate in B&Bs The Brookside Inn at laurens is magic! the Inn is magnificent - an official landmark. decorated beautifully. The quality service they provide their quests is excellent. The Lori and Dave the innkeeper are warm, friendly and will take care of every detail to ensure your stay is nothing short of fantastic. The food is devine - 5 star caliber. The rooms are immaculate - many with fireplaces. They are conveniently located to Cooperstown, museums, shops, restaurants Brookside Inn at Laurens has it all - and gets it right. You will never want to leave, it's truly a slice of heaven.
