Highly, highly, highly recommend. I was brought up on some very unfair charges and, being from out of town, I didn’t know who to call. I got extremely lucky with Michael. He was in total command in the court room at all times. And, not that it matters most when hiring someone in this line of work, but he is genuinely a good guy. Michael Schmiege stands out in striking contrast to the rest of the pack of the usual suspects of Chicago attorneys. Michael was extremely attentive, especially considering my case did not earn him much money at all. I was tempted to think his decency and diligent demeanor were simply due to him being a younger attorney trying to make a mark, but as I got to know Michael a bit better I came to the conclusion that the qualities he has are innate. Quite simply, it's just who Michael is.
