My review isn't about A Taste of Haiti, its about Ignacios Tacos that come in and take over on Sundays. Come get some great street tacos at a great price. Their food is awesome.

Not easy place to find and I am glad I found it! Friendly service and Caribbean chicken was great. The staff is kind enough to make it spicier for my liking.

A Taste of Haiti is a great experience. The food was cooked homemade perfectly with that Caribbean taste. The flavors were amazing and so delicious. We had plantains sweets and salty. Also a burger that was enormous in size and taste! Don't forget to ask for the Pikliz... is.on.FIRE!!!! DELICIOUS!!!

It's an awesome place to eat! The service is friendly with a bit of the island atmosphere. Come on down and have a Taste of Haiti!

Good food and friendly staff. Environment very basic and small but atmosphere enriched with Haitian artwork.

I went during their lunch time today. There were two signs up outside, OPEN and CLOSED. As the door was open, I went in. No, they were closed. Some kind of catering contract in preparation. So, I left. I wasn't sure, since the menu seemed to indicate all they had was fried food. Now I am sure. I won't bother to go back. I don't need to go out of my way to get a third world experience.

Easily in my LFK top 3. A not-large menu, nothing terribly fancy, but the execution on everything we had was *on point*, and the flavors of the dishes were really nicely balanced. Portions were generous, too, especially for the price. The spicy slaw (pikliz?) made me want to cry and ask if maybe I could live there from now on, it was that good. The owner/waiter/cook is the *nicest* person, the general feel of the place is that he takes sincere joy in cooking the food he loves and sharing it with people. As for anyone who considers dining in a not-slick, un-fancy restaurant serving food they're unfamiliar with to be a "third world experience " . . . well, they're quite welcome to eat their broiled skinless chicken breasts in a nice safe Applebee's, sheltered from the cruel indignities of mismatched decor and seasoned food.
