The Allen family owns several lots for downtown parking, such as the lot across from the courthouse, and they have blocked them off so the courthouse and other businesses can no longer use them. These lots were leased to those businesses for their parking needs but following the denial of the Hub permits, the Allen's raised rent prices by outrageous amounts (like 700%) so no one renewed their leases. The Allen family is bad for Lawrence. Do not support their business. They don't not care that the majority of Lawrence doesn't want Hub, they are throwing their weight around. The Allen family is bad for Lawrence.
