I had been to this place about 3 years ago. I was extremely disappointed then. The food was not fresh and for a buffet, I think that is important. There was food in the pans that had to have been there for more than a couple of hours. So, three years later here I am again...disappointed. For as busy as this place is, you’d think the food would be fresh, warm, and crispy. Unfortunately not. Egg rolls are soggy. Walnut chicken is spongy. Hot and sour soup is overwhelming with red pepper flakes. Chicken wings are bland with dry meat and wet coating on the outside. Duck was unpalatable. Other items were sub par and barely edible. The highlight was the broccoli in the broccoli and beef, crab Rangoon, and the Lo mein noodles. I will not be visiting this establishment again and although I want the Lawrence economy to strive, this place should be shut down. While we were gagging down our meal, we over heard multiple other tables talking about the quality of the food and the temperature in the dining room. I thought I was going to stroke out. And...while paying for this atrocity, the young lady at the register did not make eye contact or engage in any conversation. Not worth the cost of the meal or my time. I’d have better off eating a bologna sandwich at home. This is not the King Buffet, but more of a Jester.

Exceeded expectations, excellent service. Waitresses went out of way to ask if we needed more. Really great food, and extremely affordable in our budget. Husband and I will come back for more when payed.
Food had no favor, the food selection was terrible and the price per person is kind of steep.
Some of the food selections are slightly warm, needs to be warmer. Food was good and the servers were great!
