My son has gone to school at Prairie Moon Early Childhood Center for three years now. He loves his teachers and is excited to go to school everyday. He sings beautiful songs, plays with his friends, and gets to play outside! He has a real understanding of the natural world and is learning to do his part to keep it safe and care for it and for others. It is a wonderful and enriching part of our lives.

We love it here. We have two boys currently in the early childhood program. Here they are able to run outdoors and play and experience nature. They hike along the trails surrounding the school building; listen, learn and move through stories told by their teachers that incorporate numbers and counting, build and play with wooden and sewn toys, chop vegetables and bake bread, and learn to get along and respect each other.
Prairie Moon Waldorf School has been a huge part of both my daughter’s early years, then early childhood/preschool/kindergarten and moving on with the grades. The Prairie Moon community, has become a family of support and socializing and nourishment for our family’s life. I could not imagine these years any other way. Come for a visit...it’s not as far out as you think it is!
At Prairie Moon Waldorf Early Childhood my child receives gentle, loving and imaginative care. The environment and teachers surround my child with a soft, slow magic that embraces childhood. I love hearing the words my child uses and the songs she sings from school.
Early childhood in the Waldorf setting, specifically at PRAIRIE MOON Waldorf School, is a warm delight of the senses. Rather than pushing young children to perform academically too soon, the early childhood experience nurtures wonder, curiosity and social/emotional wellbeing. Our daughter got a fine start and now, as a sixth grader, is a creative & critical thinker with a strong sense of who she is.
