I can honestly only say good things about Dr. Diaz. He is currently my moms nephrologist and my mom and I are so grateful with him. My mom went to him towards the end of 2018 because she was spilling too much protein through her urine. Dr. Diaz advised she controlled her diabetes and lower her levels so that they can see if her diabetes is causing her kidneys to fail. Once she had her diabetes controlled, he noticed it was not that and he was able to test for other possibilities. Long story short, my mom ended up in critical conditions in the ICU because she was already at 10% kidney functionality and when all other doctors gave up, Doctor Diaz kept pushing for doctors to do all they could for my mom. Two weeks later, my mom is at a 30% kidney functionality which is not the best but it's better compared to what she came in with and does not need dialysis yet. Today she is getting her biopsy so we can find out what is harming my mom so much. She is here and alive and we really owe it all to Dr. Diaz for his patience and determination to make sure my mom made it through this tough time. Now, we're just waiting to see what else we can do to save my moms kidneys. Thank you Dr. Diaz for making sure you did everything you could for my mom. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend Dr. Diaz. You are in good hands with him!!

I was very disappointed about this doctor. When I first time see his profile on google his rating was only 1 or 2 and I was not sure, but he is the only doctor who accepts Ambetter insurance and made an appointment. He was okay on first visit and he told me to collect 24 hour urine, but I told him I've already done not even a month ago, but he said he needs it for some other purpose and I did it again. On my first visit, I've already showed him all my medical history including A1C number and all blood tests and explained I had a diabetes for over 10 years and the main reason to see him was too much protein comes though my urine and my PCP recommended to see kidney specialist. When I went back for result, I was waiting for 1 hour and 20 minutes and finally I can see the doctor, but he told me that too much proteins are coming out to my urine because of my diabetes which I already informed him at the beginning and he cannot do anything until my diabetes are controlled and come back to him if I can make A1c below 6 (current A1c is 9.1) It doesn't make any sense to me. If I can control my diabetes, why I want to see the kidney specialist? I was begging him that he can do something to protect my kidney at least until my A1c goes down to 6, but he refused and fix my diabetes first... It was worthless to see him and I've never see him again. I don't want anybody wasting their time and money.
