I had varicose veins and aching legs. After putting it off for a decade because I thought it would be too expensive to treat or it would be painful (like Grandma’s vein work of yesteryear) I finally decided to visit Vein Atlanta. I’m so glad that I did. Dr. Fonger and his staff are great. My insurance approved my procedures. They weren’t painful. My legs feel great!
All of the front office personnel are courteous and helpful. The patient advocate does a great job of pre-qualifying procedures with your insurance company. The ultrasound technicians are very competent and comforting while performing scans. Dr. Fonger is very calming and takes as much time as you need to explain the procedures before, during and after to keep you totally informed and at ease. Great facility --- I recommend it highly!
24-Sept-2018 My dermatologist advised I needed to get my legs attended to since they were swelling out of control. He was right, I was suffering from vein insufficiency, especially in the left leg after my poisonous spider bite in 2014, for which I almost lost my leg due to the infection. For years I had severe leg and ankle swelling and could NOT control it with water reduction diuretic medicine. Wrong solution! I had a physiological problem with the blood flow from some of the veins in my legs. As it was explained to me, 10% of the veins were causing over 90% of my problems, so it was long overdue to fix the problem… For the last two weeks Vein Atlanta have been attending to my legs and the results have been astonishing. Doctor Fonger shutdown some and removed other errant veins and the results are now quite noticeable… My legs started working better and my knee joints no longer hurt. I can get up and down from a chair with no pain. No longer do I have to pull myself up or be careful how I sat down. The results are dramatic, and I am very excited about my prognosis. I am able to move better without pain or discomfort and aggressively exercise to help drop my weight. This is all good. So, with a big smile on my face, I want to thank VEINatlanta, Dr. James Fonger, and all his excellent staff for taking such good care of me. I am clearly one of their 120% success stories.
