This is my first Google review- I usually don’t take the time. I recently stayed at Trailshead Lodge with a small group for 4 nights and rented snowmobiles for 3 days. We chose Trailshead because of the location in the center of all the trails, and it is definitely the best location for renting if you want quick access to all the different trails. I can’t say enough good things about our experience. Everything was very clean and well kept, great food and menu options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the sleds were new and ran great! It was impressive that the owners were on-site running the business, and they truly cared about their customers which is rare to find these days. The hospitality we were shown during our stay was amazing! Trailshead Lodge will definitely be in my plans on future trips to the Black Hills! Thanks Todd and Julie!!

Stopped for lunch while out snowmobiling. It was our first visit. Friendly staff. Restaurant was nice and clean. Food was reasonably priced and very good! Shelves inside for helmets was nice.

Todd and Julie rented us Cajuns, 4 sleds for the day. They explained everything, especially the trails and maps which were the best we have ever seen. Also, very blessed that the weather and conditions were perfect. It all started with professional host and good machines to create a great experience. Thanks again from the 4 Cajuns from South Louisiana. Might well come back next year.

We love Trailshead, especially the burgers and beer. Julie and Todd know the area well and are glad to share that knowledge. We have our own side by side, but before we got a snowmobile we rented one to see if we would enjoy it. We did! Highly recommended. Thanks, TH.

Dont know about the lodge or restaurant, but rented side by sides and did trail riding g for a few hours. Staff was great, treated us professionally, grounds and bldg super clean and tidy, explained all we needed to know about the rigs and the trails, and allowed these novices to have a great and safe time. We took a wrong turn (didnt listen close enough to what she told us) and got a little muddy, were embarrassed to take them back so dirty, but they took it in stride. Fun time with friends, recommend Trailshead to anyone and nearly 100 less than other local rental outlets!

This was a great, the greatest, part of our trip to the Black Hills. We rented sleds for the family for the day, and it was a blast. The sleds were in new condition, the trails were full of snow, and Todd and Julie were great hosts. They were far more accommodating for my family's needs than any other snowmobile rental company in the area. This is likely to become a regular part of our trips to the Black Hills! Thanks Todd and Julie!

When inquiring about the no refund policy due to -24 degree weather and safety we were treated in a very Condescending matter. The question was asked if They would consider keeping our deposit and either not be charged the rest or possibly move our date to another time. We were treated very rudely. Maybe in the future if they don’t want to bend on their policy no matter what the safety reasons might be, they might consider reassuring us and telling us how to make the excursion safer if it truly could be. By treating people with respect instead of talking down to them I probably would’ve considered them for future rentals. That will never happen and we ran into people throughout our weekend and we told them about our experience. Sad thing is we heard of a few others that have very similar experiences.

Fuel, parking, clean restrooms and ample room for seating and hot food, soup and hot apple cider was yummy!! Nice stop on trails
