This is the best martial arts studio my children have ever attended! The owners have an extensive knowledge of martial arts and the additional skill of being able to relate it to children of all ages. You can tell that they really care about the kids who attend their studio because there is a strong sense of belonging that is present in the atmosphere. Also, if you’re looking for a great place to have a kids birthday party, they post some pretty amazing parties! Your kid gets to cut their birthday cake with an actual ninja sword! How cool is that?

Tiger Rock Leander is not only a great place to learn TaeKwonDo fundamentals and sportsmanship, but the instructors are amazing with the kids and have helped to instill confidence and responsibility in our children. Our son started in their Cub program at 4 and is now a black belt at the age of 7. His big sister and Dad have joined the academy as well. The family atmosphere is so supportive!

My son absolutely loves Tiger Rock - Leander. He has been attending their afterschool program for the past few years. He also participates in their summer/holiday camp programs. The Looney's are wonderful and have honest, open communication. When we are not sure if my son is ready to test for the next belt level, they always provide support and assurance. We initially registered because his previous afterschool program decided not to pick up from his elementary school. A friend recommended Tiger Rock...I wish we would have found/registered for the program sooner.

My son has attended the Leander Academy since he was 5 going on 6. He is now 12 and is a 2nd degree, level II blackbelt. He is a member of their leadership program and participates in teaching under guided instruction as well as assisting with belt testing and competitions. My son has both ADHD and Dyslexia and this program has had a significant, positive impact in keeping my son focused and on the right track. It has given him the control and confidence he needs to become a strong, confident, and successful leader. The Looney's are amazing, patient instructors and all of their family and children are involved in the continued advancement and success of their business. This is not just another martial arts studio, this is a second family who encourages, supports, and triumphs with each child's success. We are very proud to be a part of this community.

My son started his Taekwondo career in 2017 at a different studio. He liked the sport itself, but something just felt off. We moved to Leander a month or two later, and found the Looney’s. The moment he took his first class, I saw his face light up in a way he had never done before in any other sport. The Looney’s treated him more then just a number, but got to really know him as a person, as well as the rest of the family that weren’t even in their classes. Over the past 3 1/2 years, my son has ranked up, and is approaching his 2nd degree black belt, is part of the leadership team, and has evolved into a confident young man, that truly knows his worth. My youngest daughter has also joined the studio, where she is learning respect, not just of others but respect for herself. She has ADHD, and they are teaching her control, and a healthy way to release all the extra energy, while not making her feel like she’s a disruption. I truly could go on and on, but the core of what I want to say, is that the Looney’s are amazing people, that make you feel like family the moment you walk through their door. They truly care about every single one of their students(and their families), and making sure they walk away feeling confident in everything they do.
