I’ve seen some mixed reviews about this place so I was hesitant but I’m glad I stopped by! The staff was friendly and knew their stuff I could ask numerous questions and receive accurate answers. Was helped to understand the importance of certain steps and how it is beneficial in the long run for the health of your tank. I will be returning and doing business with them. Yes some things here are over priced compared to others but for some things I’ll pay for my experience and relationships built with a shop

Ya ain't know nothin' bout keepin' fish til ya step inside the only true aquarium hobbyist shop in the KC area. Aside from the immensely knowledgeable staff and high end stock, the store itself is a gallery of freshwater and saltwater displays. Definitely my favorite place to visit in KC, I recommend it to hobbyists all across the state. ️

The staff seemed a bit disinterested. They were a couple of minutes late to open the store. As we were browsing, I assume the manager or owner, was sitting at the check out counter. She never greeted us or asked if we needed help. Another employee approached when I motioned and he was helpful. They have some unique products, but the prices are high, which makes sense having a store front in that shopping center. We were able to track down the exact items the store was selling for about 45% less from the manufacturer due to a special than Picasso’s package price.
