After driving all night, we encountered a toll plaza with toll operator Christopher A. He was jolly, efficient, and I wanted to hurry up and give this excellent review for him. 5 stars for Christopher A, he made our morning.

Great toll plaza. They are experts at taking your money. Road was good condition though.

Highway money makers literally, well were paying for the roads to be kept up and so far so good a smooth ride less debris in the roads.

It's a toll plaza. I'm not quite sure why it needs reviews. In any case, the toll workers are nice and it's a quick zip through. Even quicker if you have a SunPass or the like.

A gem of a toll plaza. A mix of antebellum charm and 21st century self awareness. This toll plaza is a favorite of Florida Gators across the state, as this is the last and greatest toll plaza heading north from the swampy hinterlands. For 20 years, a low power AM transmitter played \We are the Boys of Old Florida\, which one could enjoy at AM 570 on the dial, as one sat in traffic, sometimes for an hour, waiting to donate to the cause. With the advent of Epass and Sunpass, the 24 hour loop broadcast had to be discontinued as too many were slowing down to try to catch the words of the song. Technically, the sharply reduced speed and narrowing and separation of lanes with concrete dividers at this plaza is not optimal or safe, most would prefer the (for instance) Main Beachline Toll Plaza which allows for full speed pass through and not the old fashioned constricted flow found here. In spite of its flaws, the feelings evoked at the last plaza heading north are still strong for Florida old timers. Long may the steel arms of the toll plaza signposts wave o'er the turnpike.
