I'm so happy we have a library like this close by. My kids love coming here after school, and I especially love the \500 by 5\ program. It's kept my littlest one very determined to get a story in every night!

Told the person at the computer I was there to pick up a DVD that was on hold and was told they were on the shelf. I mentioned I had forgotten to bring my glasses in (it was raining so I was hoping not to have to run back outside and get them). No offer to help. Went to shelf and could not read the words so I went back and asked for help and apologized that I couldn't make out the words. His comment \they made the letters big for that\. I was surprised by the comment, but let it go. He handed me the DVD and told me I could self checkout or have it done at the desk. I went and stood in line because I figured he did not want to help me. After a minute or two I noticed him looking my way, he kind of laughed and he motioned like I could have come over to him. He made me feel like I was being stupid so when I walked over to him I just said it had been a long day. He replied \I can tell!\ What I would like to say is all I needed was for the person \working\ at the library to happily ask if I needed some assistance getting the DVD off of the shelf instead I was made to feel like I was being dumb. Just a kind simple gesture that could have helped someone out! Please, if we all help each other out this world would be a much happier place. I wrote this because being treated like this made me sad and angry.
