Got a show quality home from them plus 1 acre of land, every thing taken care of by them, they even worked with my poor credit history to help me get into a place. Now I'm living large and watching the sun set from MY back deck. No more apartment living for me and I never have to worry about foundation cracking or paying 10's of thousands for the place to be leveled if it does settle.

Lets be frank. When the builder is spending about 25 dollars a square foot to build a home,you need to expect a certain amount of cheeziness. And that is what I expected. But one thing I did expect from my home was for the basics to be done well. A decent roof, reasonably straight walls,functioning plumbing,a decent HVAC system,and people who would work with me when I encountered problems. But I have to tell you that all of that was a fight. But,to be fair,so is building a conventional home. You have to go over every detail, you have to do your home work, you have to ensure your getting what your paying for. I am happy with my home overall, and the money we saved over a conventional home allowed me to complete the entire vision I had for my property.Also, its important to find folks that will stick with ya,both before, and after, the delivery of your home. I believe with 1st Choice that I received that kind of care.I have to say that Shelly gets pretty high marks for being there and helping with any problem she could. Darryl will stand behind his product as much as he can and I am grateful for his help. Jim, he is a nice guy,but he dropped the ball so many times I quit talking with him. He was good to talk to, but rather un-knowledgable when it came time to execute planning,ordering,and delivery of the home. Thanks 1st Choice, I really appreciate your efforts....

Very bad customer service. I was contacted by Jim on a Wednesday and was told that I would be sent floor plans no later than the next day. Well days came and passed and I still hadn't heard anything whatsoever. I sent emails and tried calling but to no avail. If they couldn't have helped me, the least they could have done was told me so instead of ignoring my messages.
