We stopped here on our way out of town to get coffee for the road, but it’s so much more than coffee. Art and fabulousness abounds in this quaint little shop. And the owner, could not be more welcoming if she tried I wish I could have spent all day there!he art atmosphere was delightful and the personnel were so friendly. Highly recommend.

High on Art & Coffee is a premier coffee shop for several reasons! The food and coffee is great and on average much cheaper than nearby breakfast or lunch options. Ellie and Tim (the owners) are so friendly, too, and they maintain a fantastic assortment of menu options and art in their shop. While the inside is closed currently, the art is available online and their pickup window has such a nice atmosphere with lush plants and shaded garden. Try their new frozen bananas, and don’t forget to ask for one of their famous homemade whipped cream flavors!
Ellie and her husband exude a genuine welcome to one and all. They set the tone for the variety of comforting menu choices which are ALL a reasonable price. Do I have yet to have any breakfast items I have had several sandwiches, soups, and salads and have truly enjoyed each one. It may sound silly but they make the best peanut butter and jelly sandwich and their pimento cheese is to die for. I love the fact that they have a variety of Italian sodas for those that want a sweet bubbly drink but not a traditional canned soda. Would love to know what they use for their coffee but it is the smoothest in town and each selection is made perfectly. You could even get flavored whip cream! How about that? Love this Lexington gem!
This place is, in my opinion, one of Lexington's hidden gems. The sandwiches are absolutely delicious and you can customize your order to your heart's content. If you're looking for a healthier alternative to bread for your sandwich, you can get any of your sandwiches as a lettuce wrap and it's great! Their coffees are also excellent, and they'll give your dog a treat free of charge. Important to note that, owing to COVID, they are currently unable to dine-in so you'll be placing your order at the window and taking it out.
I definitely love High on Art and Coffee. They have great food and coffee, a family owned environment, they have much hospitality, and work with local artists as well as the community. I have teamed up with them and have some of Jewelry Pod's stuff there. Ellie and Tim are great, and they are reopening today!! If you haven't been there, try it out, you won't regret it.
Love this place! I've always loved the coffee as well as the food offerings. Got their Fall special drink the other day and it was amazing! Their gift shop is full of art from local artists and the owners are really nice people too.
I just moved to the neighborhood and went to this lovely place for the first time. My chicken salad sandwich was delicious and the iced coffee was perfect! They are super friendly and even gave my dog a treat! The prices are great, too! I'll be back soon.
Just finished eating a delightful lunch!! I ordered the “crangerine” sandwich which is my ABSOLUTE favorite sandwich. It’s like thanksgiving dinner!!! My sister ordered the most perfect PB&j with bananas and honey. I love the set up they have for ordering- super safe. I felt totally comfortable. Will be back!
