So sad Sal's is not going to be open any more! Went for a last brunch experience today and had an amazing experience! Even on their last day, the food and service was top notch! Cheers to our server Justin too!

I love their brunch on the weekends. There is a make your own bloody marry bar. Dinner is excellent, great portion size and delicious food

Sal' s is a hit or miss restaurant, We had brunch here two weeks ago and its was at best OK, The staff is attentive and they don;t lack for trying, However the food was not prepared well and the quality seemed a bit off. On the other hand we had lunch at the restaurant in Jan and it was well done and well executed. We have been coming here for years but now as regularly as some of our other choices in Lexington.

THE BAD: If you have a sophisticated palette or love steak, perhaps the food part of this review won't apply to you. I don't enjoy steak and so ordered a shrimp pasta dish advertised as sauteed with pine nuts, spinach, and mushrooms in a light tangy butter sauce. The shrimp was rubbery and tasteless (two had the shell still on them!), the pine nuts tasted like dirt (I didn't know it was possible to make pine nuts nearly flavorless), and there was no 'tang' in the sauce--just straight up butter. We also got some bacon-wrapped scallops and shrimp, which were also flavorless. For those prices, it's just not worth it for someone like me who likes foods with bolder flavors, like sushi or curry. My palette couldn't differentiate this from a frozen fettuccine alfredo. The drinks were very slow, and our server acted like he was a little tipsy himself. It was awkward. THE GOOD: However, the spinach-artichoke dip was delicious, and the caprese salad was possibly the best salad I've had, ever. The bread was also very good. The deserts looked amazing, although I didn't try them. Also, the staff members were very friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable and warm.

The atmosphere was great. Food was good but average at most

It was okay, nothing that stood out on the menu. I was surprised that a chop house only had one pork chop dish. The soup tasted as though it were poured from a can.
