Good for kids
This is a great lookout on an ancient man-made fishpond. Although being very close to Lihue, the area is secluded and peaceful. I consider this as one of the hidden gems of Kauai and would recommend a visit.

The day was a bit cloudy but still a beautiful site. The best part of the experience was talking with a local who gave us details of the land property history of the area. I believe that knowledge encouraged us to view the site different and challenged our thoughts.
Beautiful spot off the beating path
Perfect spot to watch the sunset behind the mountains. Easy pull off spot that can fit four or five cars. Ten mins from LIH airport if you want a quick stop for one last beautiful Kauai sunset.
Beautiful place and cool history. It’s a bit swampy smelling due to the fishpond being cleaned out
Beautiful lookout. I think is nicer than other lookouts.
Worth a stop if your heading west on Kauai. Love the lush green mountains.
Kaua'i's storied and historic native fish pond that dates to 1430, nearly 600 years old, and a great spot to eat your plate lunch takeaway from nearby Mama Lucy's Kitchen or Mark's Place in Puhi. Eat like a local...in your truck...because this an overlooking and not a managed park with picnic tables.
