I absolutely love this place. The food has the right amount of spicy and the young lady greeted me with greatness. I also loved the fact that there was music playing. This will be my go to slot for my African cuisine. Egusi and Fufu and jersey wings were great!!!

I read a few reviews before actually writing this and I want to start by saying this is my point of view and taste buds. The owner is a sweet lady and has great customer service but being I wanted a to go order I’m only gonna discuss my view on the food. I was very unhappy when I realized the food was being microwaved. I felt insulted honestly I wanted fresh stoved cooked African food from the kitchen. Not something cooked and reheated. The food was a bit bland and dough/fufu became very watery after an hour. I would of definitely prefer that made from today. Overall I’m unsatisfied because my food was microwave and wasn’t what I expected.

I saw your reply to my review earlier. I am only replying to this because I would never want to be viewed as a vindictive person or someone who just sits behind a keyboard just to tear people down. I apologize for the manner in which my review came across, but I don’t apologize for my stand. The food tasted bland and just wasn’t cooked right, I don’t know if maybe it had something to do the person that prepared it or any unforeseen circumstances. The point of the review as harsh as it may have come across, was for you to basically do better, and not an avenue to hurl insults at a customer just because they were displeased with your service. Again, I apologize for the way the comment came across, it was written in the heat of the moment as I was very dissatisfied with the service. And yes I did make a purchase with ubereats under the name “Utibe”. From your response, I can see you’re very passionate about your business, and I would just take it that the day I ordered was a bad day.

This is my second time ordering from this place on Grubhub. I usually don’t write reviews unless it is something extremely bad or extremely good. I am a huge foodie and this has changed my whole perception on African cuisine. I see other reviews saying the food was bland. I had the sakuma wiki and bland is was NOT. Full of flavor and spices paired with an hibiscus ginger honey my nose is still runny 5 minutes later. Exceptional flavor of what you could expect from an East African dish and a chef that has a recipe for flavor. Kudos to this place on the wonderful Vegan selection also.

I ordered from here for the first time yesterday. I got oxtail and egusi with pounded yam. I also had the beef patties and jerk chicken with jollof rice. It was all incredible! I especially LOVED the oxtail with egusi. It tasted so amazing! It took a little longer because they were a little behind on orders but I was made aware and my food was nice and fresh so I didn’t mind. It was so wonderful we’re going back tonight. My children begged for it and to be honest I didn’t mind because it was soooooo great! Thank you for the amazing customer service and melt in your mouth food Sheba!
