Getting a monument done for your relative's grave can be a daunting task, and it's a business that most people would understandably rather not have to deal with. However, after looking for MONTHS, and talking to several monument dealers who seemed to only care about getting paid a deposit, I couldn't be more happy to have worked with Barbara Spence of Spence Monuments. An established family-owned GA company, they are truly professionals and helped my family thru the process of creating a beautifully crafted monument for our departed loved one. Barbara was a pleasure to work with, treated us like family, and even during a pandemic, she went above and beyond to make sure we wouldn't have any issues with the cemetery or with delivery/installation. I have always appreciated quality service delivered in a kind and personable way. At a time of extreme sadness, however, receiving that caring, above normal service becomes even more important. Even though the business was officially closed because of the pandemic, Barbara Spence met me at the office to work with me to plan needed improvements and repairs to be completed at our family plots before we had a graveside service for my sister. I was worried that because of the short time frame we would not be able to have this work done, but not only was it completed, but we were amazed at how years old markers and monuments were cleaned and repaired and our whole plots were restored to honor the memories of those we loved. It is hard to describe how uplifting it was to arrive and see that beauty and artisanship on a day that needed that a spark of joy. We will forever be thankful for both the kindness and the craftspersonship that were demonstrated at this time. Perhaps that explains how this family business has been supporting so many other families for so many years.

I am so please with my parents monument. Lisa worked hard with us to make sure we were happy with the final product. My grandparents monument had settled after 30 years and had sunk and was tilted. They did such a good job elevating it and making it level. Thank you again Lisa for everything.
From first ordering to receiving our monument for our precious loved one Max, we were truly satisfied and more! The whole process went smoothly and efficiently! We actually received it before the due date, which was great! Barbara and her assistant are such humble, compassionate, kind, caring, hospitable and friendly people. It was a pleasure to meet and work with them. My family & I are more than satisfied with the monument for Max. It truly represents him & it's an awesome and beautiful piece.
