I called another well-known local company to do the installation of a new home theater system in two rooms of my house. The job was all-in-bid not time and materials and the cost went from around 2,000 to over 4,000 and one of the two systems never got to the point of operational. But that isn’t the really bad part. The worst part is that when I brought this forward to the owner of the company– they were rude, unprofessional, and claimed that they were losing money on my project so they weren’t going to complete the job unless I agreed to pay them 100/hr for an unknown amount of time. Obviously, I was forced to call a second company out to finish the job – but they had to spend their time re-cabling because it was such a rats nest of wiring they couldn’t even try to diagnose the problem. In the end, they spent 3 hours and were scheduled to return the following week to finish the job. In the mean time, I was doing some research online and called Link Systems THANK GOODNESS I FOUND RUSS AT LINK SYSTEMS!!! Russ was a top notch professional and offered to take a look for me since he had a break in his schedule. Within a few hours Russ had everything working and all bugs solved. I just wish that I had skipped the school-of-hard-knocks and called Link Systems at the start. I hope small claims court goes as smoothly as working with Russ has been … since now I have to deal with the hassle of getting my money back from his competitors
