During this COVID-19 time, we were looking for a local restaurant that had outdoor seating and decided to give Yerbabuena in downtown Lisle a try. The setup of tables on a wide sidewalk worked nice. It was a late weekday afternoon and we were seated immediately. We started with drinks; my wife had a Yerba Margarita and I had Baja Brewing Mexican IPA. We appreciated the complimentary chips and salsa; the salsa wasn’t particularly hot which pleased my wife. For our entrées, my wife ordered the skirt steak fajitas and I had the Yerba carne asada. We enjoyed our meals very much. Wait service was attentive and helpful. If you’re in the Lisle area and looking for some good Mexican food in a nice setting, try Yerbabuena.

We are from Southern California and always search out good, authentic Mexican food, which can be hard to find in the Midwest. Yerbabuena is a great spot to get rustic, flavorful, more traditional Mexican fare. Very tasty, and the staff is really nice and helpful. Only constructive feedback would be to kick up the heat a little more when you call a dish spicy, and please offer a spicier version of your great salsa!

Nice atmosphere, very friendly staff, very tasty and some creative dishes make Yerbabuena Mexican Cuisine in Lisle, IL a nice night out. Chorizo Camaron Mashed Potatoes & Paella Nicole.

I love their Margaritas and Quesadillas, so yes, I keep going back for them. There are other items in their menu that are great too, but i just have my favorites. Prices are reasonable for the trendy kind of place that it is.. And their staff are friendly and nice. When possible, we just sit at the bar... we like watching the bartender do his stuff.
