This company is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. The customer service is absolutely absurd !! If you are new to the Douglas county area....take my advise and use another company!

I have been with them for about a year, for several times, my trash was forgotten and I had to call in and ask them to come again. This week it happened again, so when I called in I was informed about a change that all recycle items need to be on clear bags, I was told over the phone that this was a change made 2 years ago and I should be in compliance by now. However, I started my contract with them April 2018, I have their services guidelines and it says nothing about clear bags and I was charged 10 for the small recycle bin and given sticker in case I wanted to buy a bigger bin myself (what I did in May 2018). So now despite the fact they charge me for the bin and for the recycling services, they will no longer get my recycle items, unless I stop using the bin and start to put recycle on clear bags. I'm very frustrated and feel completely blind sided.
The actual trash pick up is not the problem, the problem is the office customer service. First they never answer the phone. We are in the middle of a pandemic and the world knows there is a problem with the USPS. I for years have sent them my payment like clockwork, never late, usually early, I have it set up through my banks bill pay. I get a late notice with fee. I check my bank, the check was sent but has not been cashed, it has been about 4 weeks since it was sent. Call Smith to see if they can waive the late fee, since this is the first time they have not received my payment on time - nope they will not. Said they have multiple people calling about missing payment and they can not afford to waive late payments. If your company is keeping afloat on late payments, there is something wrong with your accounting.
All I can say is if you have ANOTHER OPTION!!!! Take it!!! This company is horrible and very unprofessional! Mom and Pop type business who does not have any care or empathy for their customers. Their staff is poorly trained and do not have a clue about phone etiquette and let’s not talk about the billing and fees they pass on to the customer. We received a letter indicating that they would increase our bill by .50 because the dump increase md their prices. We got a bill with a 10 increase and they would not remove the charges. WE CANCELLED FAST! You get what you pay for! Runnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!
I never had a problem with them picking up the trash but they have horrible customer service no one ever answers the phone.......
