Enjoyed a random family fishing trip here during the summer of Covid-19 2020. Like us, other families were here to get a 'peace of mind' from all the craziness. It was just that, very peaceful and relaxing. Enjoyed every minute, and took some amazing photos in remembrance of that day.

This review is based only upon the trails and visitor center. We did not camp, however the yurts looked amazing and during January they run 40-50% off which is something I will look into for sure. The trail had so many nooks and crannies to explore, the levels of intensity varied and the kids just loved to explore. The water was beautiful. We even dipped our feet in and played in the shallows. Sad we couldn't access the ruins but understand the need for preservation. It would be nice to have access to water stations along the way because we didnt bring water but that was our fault. This was an impromptu stop. We were so exhausted after the trail that we didn't even check out the playground, honestly you could spend probably 5 hours here easily with packed necessities. I look forward to going back for other trails and to camp!
Great place to stay. The Yurts are awesome, just big enough for a family. Clean bath houses. The old textile mill was really neat to see and it's an easy beautiful hike to get to the mill.
The camping area at Sweetwater Creek State Park is absolutely fabulous. There are 10 Yurts all on the water, with back decks facing the lake they also all have picnic tables charcoal grills and fire pits. There are five walk-in tent camping sites also with charcoal grills and fire pits. The bath house is very nice and kept very clean. Additionally there is a great playground for the little ones. It's a great place to get away that is close into the city but feels far away.
It was clean and so peaceful. I love that park it is one of my favorites.
