Let me explain that the classes are good and I’ve never had a bad meal. BUT let me post about a new policy. If you have been here before one of the perks was being able to take leftovers home. Great! However, I’m not exactly sure when, this has changed. The problem I have with the change is that you are paying about 65 for a class and there is a certain experience and expectation you have for that price, like taking leftovers home. The new policy is that you can’t take it home, you are giving it to the assistants because they work very hard. I’m all for sharing but making a decision on what happens to the leftovers that the class paid for is unacceptable. If a restaurant took your leftovers for their cook because he worked so hard for you, would you find this acceptable? The cook is being paid to do a service, same as the assistants, not only do they get paid we now are feeding them the food we paid for? What am I missing here? If you want to take care of your staff then provide them food, but to take it without permission from your paying clients is unethical and should be reviewed. When is stealing ok in the world of business?
Don't be put off by the lack of reviews, this place was awesome! We made Thai takeout favorites with Chef Hannah last night and it was so much fun! Hannah was knowledgeable and bubbly. The food we made was top notch. We were beginners and felt very comfortable in the class. It's a magic kitchen, you only have to do the fun parts of cooking! Everything is pre chopped and measured and the dishes are taken care of separately. The fellow guests were all very positive and easy going. Loved it and will be back! You get a recipe book too with everything you made.
Excellent Chef! Chef Hannah was incredibly knowledgeable and so very sweet! Wonderful Staff as well! And the other \students\ were a blast!
I just attended a class and was extremely disappointed. The class was very unorganized, the Zest staff seemed confused and were in the way and were not friendly. The cakes burnt and our meat and potatoes were not done because the Viking ovens did not work...waste of time and money. Print recipes off the internet and teach yourself and have a block party with your neighbors because the staff certainly didn't encourage anyone to unite in friendship - they were all too busy finding kitchen utensils and putting batteries in the devices that didn't work...
