Little Gem is definitely a go to! There are so many varieties of Belgian waffles and toppings, that there is definitely something for everyone. Sometimes, the wait times get a little long, but I don't mind waiting because the food is so yummy! I would definitely recommend going to Little Gem if you are looking to satisfy your sweet tooth. They are also incredibly COVID safe!!

Little Gem is an amazing place to grab a quick bite with friends! I remember getting it a year ago and it always crosses my mind whenever I am in Berkeley. The food is reminiscent of fairs and carnivals, and their Jewel Worthy waffle is just amazing when you're craving something sweet but not overly indulgent. I would say that you should be prepared to wait for some time before your waffles are ready, but that's fine considering that they're just making it fresh for you! The combination of ice cream, waffle, fruit, cream, and chocolate is honestly perfect. Thank you Little Gem, I will be back soon!

Honestly, I really like sweet treats, but eating here makes me love them!!! I don't think I've ever rated a restaurant in Berkeley (and any other place) a 5-star, but Little Gem Belgian Waffles deserves it. I usually get something with bananas, matcha cream and/or cookies&cream ice cream, but every other option is amazing too. I highly recommend coming here!

The desserts were tasty but the storefront is on Telegraph Avenue where a lot of punk high school kids like to hang out. I guess what should one expect with being so close to UC Berkeley campus? But those teenagers are just messy and the vibe is too young, unfortunately. The restaurant is kinda like a hole in the wall and their recipes are quite simple but their waffles are where the secret really lies. Worth going once and trying it out.

Walking past the store it's hard to resist getting at least 1 waffle because of the sweet smell. There aren't that many establishments that sell Belgian waffles so it makes this place special! With COVID, you can only order online or on the tablet in front of the store. I got 4 mini waffles to try (12 for 4 or 3.50 each). You can customize the flavor of each mini waffle on the tablet but they are mostly glazes or sugar options, you can't add toppings. The flavors I ended up choosing were chocolate, matcha, powdered sugar, and cinnamon sugar. Really enjoyed all the waffles I got, but my favorite had to be the powdered sugar. Really appreciated how the glaze wasn't too sweet but just the right balance of sweetness. The waffles aren't that crispy when I got them but overall was soft, warm, and fluffy. Overall, delicious option to fulfill your sweet tooth!

This place is great! The portion sizes are perfect. They aren't too large for you to feel bad for the amount of sugar, but still enough for you to be satisfied for the craving. I also recently had the mini waffles; they're a great on-the-go snack. The batter is not dense, but 'fluffy' and never under-cooked or burnt to a crisp.
