Such an amazing view! If you can you should go check out Toroweap. The road with good weather is easily passable, until the last few miles, which could be hiked. We opted to not bring the little kids because of the dramatic drop off. Such a cool place to visit!

Well worth the trip. From St. George it's 85 miles. Very easy trail for any 4x4 or UTV. The views are almost unreal. You can get right up to the edge of the Grand Canyon without any obstruction. Recommend this far more than the South Rim. Best views of the Colorado River we've ever seen. To the west you can easily see the lava flows from the north rim and some rapids in the river. The picnic tables are a nice surprise and a great way to have lunch looking at these views.

Absolutely stunning! I think even better than the main park. Spending the night there would be great too. You can drive there with a normal car and then hike the last 2.7 miles. If you don't have 4x4 with atleast 12-16 inches clearance and appropriate suspension don't even attempt to drive the last 2.7 miles. But if you do have Jeep Rubicon, by all means, you must. That's why you spend 70 grand on it right?

Phenomenal!! It is remote and you will need 4 wheel drive and some ground clearance. Most standard trucks and jeeps will have no problem navigating the drive in and out. Go with a full tank of gas just to be wise. It can get muddy in parts, but usually doesn't last long. Views are awesome, camera doesn't do it justice. Plan on it being a day long trek to get in and out. Great way to see the Grand Canyon with no crowds.

Everyone is correct that you need a 4x4 vehicle to get completely to the overlook. While a high clearance vehicle is best for the last 2.7 miles, we completed the journey in a Subaru Forester. The first 40 miles are easy and fun, the last 20 get rough. Ranger was super helpful. Be safe and know your limits, there are only a few places to turn around once you start the last 2.7.
