They go by CFI Installations now, but the number is the same. I ordered carpet through Home Depot and after reading reviews I was worried. My experience was the exact opposite of all the other reviews. They arrived on schedule and did a great job installing the carpet and hauling away the old stuff. The only inconvenience was that they had a 2 month backlog for install but its done now and I am pleased.

They were supposed to come from 8-12, no show. I called and they said 3, no show again. I called again and was told they would be there at 6pm for a 5-6 hour job. I told them I don’t want them to be in my house that late. I took off work to wait around 10 hours already. They told me it was my choice for them to not come at 6pm, so it would be another week before they can reschedule, instead of coming first thing in the morning. I got a refund at that point. The incompetence with this company is laughable. If they didn’t have the Home Depot contract they would be out of business with how they treat “customers”. Some of us have real jobs with consequences. Must be nice to be able to have no repercussions. Avoid them and Home Depot carpet installation like the plague!

The actual installers were fine. Showed up and were nice. But the customer service representative were EXTREMELY Rude. My Quartz Counter Tops chipped 3 months after installation and they said it was not under warranty... They made me pay to have a tiny chip filled and took 2 WEEKS to even set this up. When I finally was called to set up the time, the woman was very rude. Will not go through them/Home Depot ever again.

The installers they sent destroyed my walls through out the house. The installers decided it would be better to take out the screen in bedroom and jump in and out of the window. Very very rude.

Through the Home Depot, United installed Pergo in my home. The installers were on time, worked diligently and communicated with me throughout the time they were there. When the job was completed, they also took great care in cleaning up both inside and outside the house. I would have them back without hesitation.

Sent out a guy to do our flooring. He had no idea what he was doing. he showed up to the job site at 11 am and stayed until almost midnight to do a job that should take 5 hrs. I complained necause the whole floor was done wrong. As usual everyone at home depot passes the buck. They sent their own rep out to inspect my floor, he agreed the whole thing needed to be removed and redone. Then 2 weeks later, still no answer from anyone, they want to send another guy out to take a 3rd round of pictures. My wife begged me to take the 500 they were offering and live with the crap workmanship. I wish I hadn't. To top it all off, my house was broken into at random after all my complaining. Someone who was comfortable around my 2 big dogs. I have no proof, but I would guarantee it was the installer.

Nightmare! Absolute Nightmare! Like so many other reviews, this company was the installer of choice for our local Home Depot store. Because we've had nothing but great experiences with Home Depot, the products they carry and the staff and management, we accepted that suggestion. Part of our carpet was installed shortly after we purchased it, but the common area carpet (it's an office building) we were planning to store until some other construction work was completed. We knew that it would be 18-24 months before we were ready. Ultimate Installations insisted that we store that carpet with them. But when we called to schedule late this fall, they could not find the carpet or any record of our order. Multiple calls where we were on hold for as much as an hour and promised call back from management and we got no closer to resolution. (never got the calls back from management either). Finally I spoke with a manager at Home Depot and within an hour or so, the carpet was found. It had been there all along. Installation was scheduled for today, January 15, 2015. A crew was going to drive over from Detroit, and I was told I would get a call to give me an ETA. When no call came by 11:30, I called and found out that unknown to us, we had been removed from today's schedule. No one knew why, no one called to let us know. In preparation for the install, we removed the old carpet yesterday. And now, it could be sometime next week (if we're lucky) before the make it. The lack of customer service is astounding! The lack of oversight by management is remarkable! The lack of any sort of followup or concern about the customer blows my mind. So if you are pointed toward Ultimate Installations... REFUSE to go there! I rarely write reviews online.... but if I can save one person or business the wasted hours and frustration that we have invested in this process, I will be happy.
