Browns is a great local place. Hidden gem for fruits and veggies. Their bakery is amazing and the little chocolate place has delectable pieces.

Beautiful sunny day at the orchard and farm market. Came for the apple cider donuts and left with them, some homemade bread and a four-pack of small, pumpkin and cream cheese whoopie pies... The whoopie pies never made it past the parking lot! We'll be making this one of our new regular stops.

Brown's Orchards is one of the treasured gems of Southern York County. From their delicious pies, quiches, and cakes to their fresh produce and many other delectable treats you cannot go wrong. Although, I do try to make sure I do not enter their market when I am hungry, great for their business but bad for my waistline.

My aunt has been singing the praises of this place for years and we finally got around to checking it out this weekend after visiting friends in nearby Spring Grove, PA. This is a very nicely laid out farm market with something for everyone. When you first walk in you are greeted by fresh fruits and veggies, I scored some baby potatoes for a dinner I'm making this week and also a red, ripe tomato which after slicing into this evening I'm mad at myself for not buying more - definitely the best tomato I've had so far this season. Since hubby was waiting in the car with our golden retriever I had to be pretty quick but I did take the time to check out all the different areas and picked up some dutch macaroni salad, cream of crab soup and some snickerdoodles along with an apple cider slush for the drive home. I was very impressed with the homemade soup selection and will definitely be back to try several more varieties. The dutch macaroni salad didn't quite hit the mark for hubby and I, I liked the sweetness but the pasta was a bit to al dente for my liking and just overall felt like something was lacking. I'd have to give the Cream of Crab Soup a B, nicely flavored but needed a dash of Old Bay and the crab meat didn't taste fresh, a bit dense and not what I'm used to. I have to be honest and state that part of the reason I bought the Snickerdoodles was because the week before we picked up a couple of the same style cookies from Prettyboy Market and my golden retriever (who is super picky and has always turned his nose up to sweets) went crazy for them so I figured I'd see if it was just a fluke. I gave a small piece tonight and boy what a mistake that was, looks like I'm gonna be sneaking these when he's not in the room because he goes nuts for them.

Little quaint cool off the beaten path great farm market with great selection of interesting products. Great local stuff. Moderate to fair pricing id say. Very friendly staff willing to help and explain the items they have.
