Beautiful campground, picnic and hiking spot. There are lots of picnic tables and shelters, plus a big bonfire pit. A nice bridge connects to an island you can explore. Great nature spot to take the kids or pets or a date!

Another lovely forest preserve. Our group reserved the picnic shelter. A little pricey, but worth it because it did rain but our group could still meet. Plenty of space under the shelter (we had about 20 but more could have easily fit, they say capacity is 100, 50 during COVID).

The park definitely is NOT kept up like it used to be! There are huge trees uprooted and down everywhere. Nothing has been picked up. You can't walk to the back and cross the river like you used to as everything is so overgrown. You can't walk on the tiered rocks by the water that is all overgrown too. Sad that its not being kept up like it used to be as everyone is outdoors these days and would enjoy walking around.
