Great school. Excellent teachers. You will learn a lot and quickly be on the path to living your dream as a practical nurse in 9 months to 1 year. Illinois College of Nursing (ICON) offers a part-time affordable nursing program staffed with caring approachable administrators, engaging helpful teachers, an amazing administrative assistant and the best classmates. If you stay motivated, attend class, and do the homework, you will graduate prepared for a new career. When you attend ICON, remember to relax, enjoy the process, learn and develop your critical thinking skills. Doing so will prepare you for the exit exam and NCLEX. It won't always be easy but it will be worth it. (Many of my classmates worked and attended school.) Passed the NCLEX ..... I'm a nurse.

The pros: Ms. Hana is great! Very compassionate, great environment. Flexible schedules. They work with you on school payments. They didn't offer FAFSA when I went in 2016, but I know they were working on providing that option for students. They do offer scholarships which brought down my tuition a whole lot. The cons: I didn't like that they would promise to take us on student field trips and wouldn't happen. Such as the coroner's office, Misericordia, the museum they were working on opening. Also, we never used the lab they have which I personally think would've helped prepare you a lot before going to clinicals.
