Please stay away from Matson Long Beach! I shipped my two vehicles from Matson Hawaii. It was best experience ever. When I came to Long Beach to pick up it was nightmare. It took about 5 hours to get the vehicles according to employee words. He says me wait 5 hours I don’t care!!! 5 hours of my time? Absolutely worst experience ever. The people don’t know what they doing. It took me forever to get my vehicles. Please stay away from Matson Hawaii.

We used Matson to ship our car from Hawaii to Long Beach. It arrived in great condition and a few days earlier than we had anticipated. We felt the price was very reasonable and competitive. We appreciated the emailed notifications letting us know when our car had arrived and would it would be available for pickup. From our positive experience with the company, I heartily recommend Matson for your shipping needs.
I used Matson to ship my car from Long Beach to Maui, and they made the process super easy! Both the drop-off and pick-up were very organized and took less than 30 minutes. My car actually arrived 2 weeks ahead of schedule, which saved me money on a rental car! My only (mini) gripe is that when I picked up my car in Kahului, the battery was completely dead. The guys helping me with pick up were super friendly and jumped it for me, which I'm really appreciative of! But when I went to drive it off I saw that both passenger doors and the hatch were never fully closed, which is likely what drained the battery (since that would have kept the dome light on). It wasn't a big deal but something I just hope the port workers will double check on future cars. Still a 5 star experience!

Not a fan when it almost 3 hours to get back to Long Beach Harbor. I assume it was about the same to get out there? I fell asleep but my Uncle said it was. Also the food is way over priced. Be smart and come with your own sandwiches and snacks. You need to stash it before you get on. Same with beer. Use your head it's NOT LIKE A BASEBALL GAME where you get patted down.
