This event was on my bucket list for years, it didn't disappoint... my photos in pit row are proof of how great this Indy car event is...

There really is no way to describe motorsport in an practical way, because motorsport is such an act of defiance. It is the will to go faster than humanly possible because of the marriage of human and machine. However, unlike basketball or hockey, where speed happens on a human scale, watching Indy cars race is like watching bullets whiz by. Pure speed is the name of the game here and when that happens colors and motion blend into one unifying act. One second they are there and the next moment - gone in a flash. Accompanying this is the roar of their engines. Not a throaty thunderous roar, but a whine like a million bees amplified to the Nth degree. Indy cars sound like nothing on the road. At first nothing makes sense when hearing and seeing this for the first time, because your senses are assaulted, but in time everything slows down and the symphony of speed comes into focus and yes it really becomes a beautiful thing to watch. As for the drinks and food, nothing was terribly expensive however choices were limited to certain food trucks and concessions. But overall a fun experience.
Love it , so sad the metro is under construction we took long to get there. But we had a blast for about an hour or two
The event was awesome! Lots of races that fit different types of cars and there was lots of food to try out. Drinks were also great but obviously prices spike up a bit due to it being a big event. Overall, the stands were good and the many stations you can access with the different passes were pretty worth it for the kind of event it was. Would go again!
Fun experience. Highly recommend.
