Love this gym. It's clean and not too crowded unlike a lot of the franchise gyms like NYSC or Blink. It's open so you don't feel claustrophobic. It's also very reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

This review is based on a kids' party I attended at this gym. I had the pleasure of visiting Astoria Sports Complex last weekend for the birthday party of a classmate/friend of my nephew's. I've been to quite a few children's' birthday parties (lots of nieces, nephews, and little cousins ), and this place is among the best facilities I've ever been in. From the time we arrived to when we left, the staff was so courteous and professional, you'd think they went to college only to learn how to host children's' parties. The \Complex\ has everything - gym, swimming pool, jacuzzi, aerobics classes, and personal training. They even had goofy, yet fun looking games for the kids; one was called \Be the Ball\, where the kids put on these giant plastic, inflatable bubbles and run into each other and knock each other over. The kids also got to play this game called \Nerf Wars\, where they basically run around shooting each other with Nerf guns. The kids seemed to really love the games. Other than that, the kids got to play soccer and dodgeball and got to jump around in bouncy houses (I have no idea what they're actually called, you know what I'm talking about). Oh, and the food! The quality of the food was another surprise; the chicken parm and the fries were way better than I expected. Since my experience with this business is directly tied to a birthday party I attended, I did not wander around and check the place out in too much detail, but I know that they offer swimming lessons, soccer classes...and they have two indoor soccer fields. If you live in/close to Astoria and you're looking to get in shape, I highly recommend you check Astoria Sports Complex. The entire facility is pristine, the staff is super-friendly and knowledgeable about all things fitness, and there are tons of things to do here.

Since the gym reopened from the pandemic, I have been going almost every day to get in shape. I signed up last year bcuz of the great Black Friday Deal plus there's a swimming pool. I thought the equipments are old. My first gym was Jack La Lane when I was 17 so I have expectations. Now, I'm so glad that they kept the old equipments especially the neck machine. In the past 2 weeks, I have firmed up my sagging neck skin which has been worrying me. There isn't a gym that I have been to around the world with a neck workout. ASC has a workout for every part of the body. The staffs are Awesome. The maintenance lady is constantly cleaning to make sure everything gets disinfected. Great job!

For more than three years I have been part of the family called Complex, more than a gym I feel it as if it were my own home, it is the place where I feel that exercising is not a \suffering\ but an experience of life; an opportunity to love my body and experience a different well-being ... its facilities are spacious, modern, clean, well-endowed and above all with a friendly staff, ah and as if that were not enough, it offers group-guided classes every day and at different times ... Thanks Astoria Sports Complex for making me a better version

Take my advice go to Blink or Planet fitness where you don’t need to make any appointment to use the gym and it’s quicker to get in, no waiting and on your time. Planet and Blink gyms let’s you workout more than 1 hour not like the complex it’s only 1 hour. I’ve been a member there for a long time and kept signing up again every year but now, I know all they care about is . I understand that Covid hit us and business is losing money but everyone is going thru situations. First off, in order to workout you must book your gym appointment (1hour). Many people there who book their gym appointment never show up. Which is not fair for others. This gym is never packed. I’m not able to book a gym time for myself, because they honor other gym competitors to get access first. When I signed up for the gym included classes. Now you have to pay for classes even if you a member or not and they also charging you if you don’t show up to your gym appointment. I’ve tried to book a gym appointment for myself, it’s been 3 weeks now that I’m not able too. Very disappointed in this gym and PLEASE TAKE MY WORD FOR IT, THIS IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY. Especially when you have to book a gym appointment and NOT able too the gym because they honor other people.
