We loved this place. I just wish they were open later and that their prices were a little more reasonable. The aquarium was a lot of fun. My son is obsessed with sea life, so he was thrilled.

Fun museum but definitely better for kids. At 35 for an adult, might be better to swing by on a free day. The exhibits are interesting but don't really feel well developed in terms of content and what's on display. With the Rainforest currently closed and the Planetarium shows being filled quickly, it feels sparse in terms of exhibits. Would recommend coming earlier to try and see as many Planetarium shows as they are a redeeming factor.

They accept student discount which is awesome. This place is located in a beautiful place. The Academy of Science has everything all in one and kids can be here for hours. It has a globe like rainforest system and below that is the aquarium. They have their exhibits like an earthquake simulation and a rooftop garden section.

Today was my first time! Admission is free! What a cool place! A collection of art, culture and research in this building that is only getting better. You can see the development and how modern it is. The art pieces were amazing, very different and organized in rooms so you could encounter a new experience through each door you walked through. It’s a very colorful place, not too many docents walking around and had a serene yet vibrant vibe to the flow of the rooms as each one had a different experience to offer. I would definitely go back to see what they have to offer as time passes by, and I would love to see more interactive pieces or activities.

My first time visiting California African American Museum and I had so much fun. First thing you need to know is that they dont have parking lot, so you will have to find parking on near by streets. The place is very busy, so prepare to stay in line specially if you go on weekend. They do have express lane if you purchase the tickets on their website.
