I read through all the reviews before visiting the L.A. Office. Here are my input: 1. The staff were actually very nice and professional. I dealt with 3 people and all were professionals. 2. Environment was actually better than described by other Reviewers. I am not sure if prior Reviewers have seen their local public buildings such as the DMV, Hall of Records, Tax Assessors, etc. What I can tell you is that the Consul Gen office is much nicer, better organized, and roomier. 3. Parking across the street (Church) is cheap, but the stalls are narrow. If you are paranoid about getting dings, there are other parking lots that are less crowded with wider stalls. I believe I paid 15 for the whole day. BTW, my business with them took 2 days due to policies, documents integrity, etc. Even though it cost me 16 hours, I still give them a 5-star.

This office of the government is a representation of Phil. government in the international community. Apparently, their service is clouded by poorest of the poor service for lack of organization and clear procedure leaving their constituents confused what steps to be taken in processing their documents. Each individual should have a number upon entering their office so as to know who should be called first when the windows open but why there is guard assigned and responsible for distributing these numbers comes late and the people who were scrambling to fall in line before the staff open their windows has to panic again when he began giving assigned numbers while others are seated waiting what's next to be done. I observed, the guard is a white male who seems less courteous in dealing with pinoys especially some few aged citizens who normally asks a lot of questions, that's horrible.

Great location. Near an MTA subway station so I didn't need to drive in that horrible Wilshire Blvd traffic.

Have you tried listening to their recorded messages/instructions on the phone?. It's garbled, and it seems the speaker was drowning and having a stroke. Did not understand a word it said. With the technology nowadays, they still use kamote for recording.

I was at the Consulate for authentication for Birth Certificate. The men at the info desk wanted me to go to rooms outside for revision i immediately asked help from the Consulate Employee who was so kind to assist me getting it done in 5 minutes Madam thank You Very Much. I didnt get your name but do deserve a 5 star.

This office needs overhauling from office employees to their system and even the office set up. Let me start with the system - you cannot get hold of anybody on the phone, there is no prompt on what is the best thing to do. Personnel are so unprofessional, and the usual Filipino chatters and disgustingly displaying how they conduct business, food all over the place. The place is so dirty, I've been to many consulate offices from different countries - the Philippines is dirty and it looks like a market place.... Please have this place overhauled!

They are so unorganized and unhelpful. You cannot get anything done here. No one knows what is going on. One employee told me to forge a signature. I spent hours trying to get help and they kept leading me in circles. After several HOURS I came out of there with nothing! They sent me home to get a bunch of different papers I do not have since my father passed away. Absolutely ridiculous!
