We hired this company for a local move from Culver City area to Long Beach and were expecting a move that would take 4-6 hours. Before you hire them, go ahead and at least DOUBLE the price they quote you at. Our quote for a 3-hour move was 542. They tried to charge almost triple the estimate (over 1300), which we eventually negotiated down to 1100 after calling the company multiple times. Having just completed the same move (but across the country and with TVs, artwork, and several items we moved ourselves this time around), our last company cleared out our 2-bedroom apartment in 1.5 hours. However, after 4 hours, these movers were still dawdling, spending 15 minutes at a time with all 3 movers in their truck, slowly wrapping furniture in plastic wrap, and taking nearly 40 minutes to disassemble a basic, bare-bones queen size bed frame. They know they make more money the longer they take and they intentionally dragged their feet to increase the price of the move. Do sofa cushions need to be plastic-wrapped? Absolutely not. Can they waste 20 minutes doing it? You bet. This company intentionally quotes low and then moves at a snail pace to jack up the price. It is completely deceptive. The customer service representative/manager (“Greg”) was also very rude when we called 5 hours into the move (not even having left our starting point) to let him know that the team was moving too slowly. Never again would I use or recommend this company to anyone. To add insult to injury, they left piles of plastic wrap at both locations and refused to take it with them or put it in a dumpster.

Had a great experience. I organized my stuff before they arrived to make it easier on everyone. The movers were friendly and asked the right questions to make sure everything I wanted was done. They helped me organize and setup my new apartment as they unloaded too. I would hire them again. Moved from HB to LB and it was the lowest quote out of any other company AND the final bill matched the quote (actually it was even less bc I paid cash). It is important that before you move, you answer the questions they ask you correctly and accurately. They come prepared for anything but it makes their job a lot more efficient if you're honest and accurate.

They were so great! I had them do 3 stops, a regular, simple apartment move from storage to my new apartment. But first, they met me somewhere else and helped me move a large, hand painted painting safely and carefully. I've moved a lot and I highly recommend.

We are the return costumer. More than a year ago (July 7, 2019 to be exact) we had this Five Star Moving company helped us to move. I like to mention their name: Marat and Ruslan. Their honest, quality, and professional are very impressive. Therefore, on December 19, 2020, we used Five Star Moving again. Nathan and Thomas showed up one time. The whole loading and unloading process went to so smooth. Nothing got damaged especially all the glassware. What a great job the Five Star Moving always offer. Just like their company name, five star. I highly recommend this Five Star Moving. Thank you so much!

This was my first time hiring a moving company, and I am glad I had a great experience. The movers were fast and careful with my belongings. I scheduled my move with Chris and he was very helpful. He even called to make sure the move was going okay. They are a bit overpriced for the little time that was used (not including tips), just know that. But now I have a place to recommend.
