Had dinner at Ink on Friday. The food was good and creative overall but some dishes are overpriced in my opinion. We ordered three appetizers, one main course with two sides and two desserts for four people. They suggest to order more for the table but it was enough for us. Our favorites were street corn ( no picture as it was gone right away), carrots and desserts. Tartare was good but too salty for our taste, so was the side of rice we ordered. I give this place three starts for the lack of good service, the timing of brining the food to the table and the seating layout. I get that they bring food out as it is ready ( which is acceptable for appetizers) but we got our main dish and the sides came out only 10-15 minutes after that. We finished lamb before the sides as didn't want it to get cold and ended up eating rice and carrots sides by themselves. Our server was nowhere to be found to tell him that. He didn't even realize that this happen and asked us how we liked the carrots seeing an empty plate left from lamb. The place is pretty tiny and our table was very close to other tables. One of us was constantly bothered when servers needed to pass by. We had to move the table bunch of times trying to make him more comfortable. At the end of the day you don't want trays of drinks being carried over your head. Long story short, glad I tried it but will not go back for a while.

I \u003c3 sandwiches. Just imagine me as Joey from Friends but as a girl who will eat almost any concoction slapped between 2 slices of bread. That's probably why I arrived outside of ink.sack 30 minutes before they even opened one Saturday morning--but surprisingly, I wasn't the only one! The ratio of meat, cheese, veggies, & sauce to carbohydrates was extremely well proportioned in all 3 sandwiches. Each bite allowed the delicious flavors to meld together. The cold fried chicken really lived up to the hype as the chicken was still crispy, and the ingredients matched perfectly. The Reuben was my favorite! I had no idea that beef tongue could be made so tender and flavorful, and the Russian dressing was not overpowering or too saucy. Really, one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The Jose Andrés was tasty enough, but was overshadowed by the other 2 sandwiches. Don't forget the chili pineapple or watermelon either, it's a really refreshing treat for the summer. I can't wait for my next visit to ink.sack to try everything else on the menu. Two thumbs up for Top Chef Michael Voltaggio!!

Hands down, their sandwiches are one of the best values in town. The ingredients are outstanding and the sandwiches have the perfect combination of ingredients and are consistently delicious. If you have gluten issues, they'll turn anything into a lettuce wrap (but if you can eat bread, theirs is delicious). The chips are good, the spicy fruits are better, and if you call ahead, you can skip the line.

First of all the staff is great! Very knowledgeable , friendly and very attentive. The food is excellent. Not only delicious but also smart dishes. Best of all they are great for sharing (it is also encouraged). Over all, a great experience.

Would have been a straight 5 star if it weren't for some knucklehead staff who ruined the last 15 seconds of our 2 hour meal. I'll start with the bad and finish with the good: THE BAD: For our seating we were at a 2 top sandwiched between two other two tops along the wall. My fiancee sat on the wall side bench which had a great view of the restaurant. For me, however, I had a great view of some black wooden shades that I looked at for 2 hours. Right before we left my fiance went to the bathroom and I slid around to the other side of the table to observe a more interesting view and sign the check. She sat down next to me on the bench and as we were gathering our belongings one of the staff members I hadn't seen all night came over and said to me "I need you to move back to your seat right now because the bench is not big enough for two." Now, I'm 130 pounds and my fiance is 100 so our combined weight is still less than most the people in there. The thing that bothered me was that if only this employee was half as in tune with everything as the rest of the staff, he would have known we were literally 15 seconds away from standing up and leaving. Both tables on either side of us were just as perplexed as I was because they both separately asked what the issue was and why I had to move. I'm not one to get embarrassed easily but the fact that this was our engagement dinner at an incredible restaurant, I couldn't help but let this leave a bad taste in my mouth. I understand the personal space issue but if we're dropping over 250 on a dinner for two then I think the seating should be able to accommodate a couple. If cramming 1 extra table into the row is that big of a concern I question the restaurant's character because it comes off to me as they care more about the sales than the guest. Whatever the case, I'm not dropping a few hundred bucks to be spoken to as if I were a delinquent teenager. THE GOOD: Words don't do this food justice.

Amazing food and great service always. I have been here twice and it never disappoints. My most recent trip I saw Michael Voltaggio himself working in the kitchen and with the staff! My favorite dishes have to be the laughing bird shrimp and the street corn. I also had the blended scotch cocktail which was delicious and balanced. I hope they update the menu again soon so I can try more delicious food :D

Enjoyed all the small plates we ordered. I'd avoid the octopus, the smell was not very fresh. The cocktails were all very good and they had an outstanding bartender. I'd say though this place only rates a two because while I called to make a reservation on a Sunday night that was not so busy, they have us, a party of two, a table that in the very far back of the restaurant. It was near the restroom and entrance to the kitchen. Totally felt you were sitting in a undesirable section of the restaurant and away from the crowd. Not pleased especially when there were plenty of other tables. Was told an excuse that other tables were set up for parties of three. Too bad could have been a good place to come back to but won't due to this really ridiculous seating experience
