The transformation of this housing project is remarkable. I just hope that there were aggressive efforts not to displace families who have called Watts \home\ for decades. Gentrification is real! The nearby shopping is an attractive amenity and an economic engine for the area. A Nike store in Watts? Who would've thunk it!

It was still the Jordan downs. I figure once it is full redeveloped then thing will be much better.

Still has a rough around the edges kinda look to it. Possibly use a nice paint job too. The community on a whole is great, almost everyone knows everyone which could be a good and a bad thing. There are some serious O.G's here as well as knuckleheads so you gotta keep on ur toes especially if you come rollin thru on the Hood Life Tours. Years ago Menace II Society was filmed along Grape St & 99th here in Jordan Downs so it never stops poppin..
