They have some really amazing stuff and it's important to buy used so we don't keep producing more stuff that ends up in landfills. However, the dresser I wanted would have cost 70 to deliver, and they don't go up stairs. Some furniture was a little overpriced for being used. One dresser was priced at 300 and it's probably worth 1000, but another was 150 when it's probably worth 50. Still, huge selection, the size of a mall, and lots of good finds. There is parking

I started thrifting when I was like 12 and there used to be some amazing places all over the city from Inglewood to Compton. Then they all went away. GW and SA can get really expensive and then the secondhand shops on Melrose, got really expensive over time and then to resell clothes you actually got from a thrift shop they did not want because it was not vintage designer. Well SVDP is amazing!! This is a place that took me back to that time when there where less corporatized thrift shops. This place is huge with so many layers of so many things. Love the discount racks especially. But yes, everything I could every discover, plus old school prices and color tag days. Furniture, books, music, shoes, unique sample clothing that were never in stores. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Found this super oversized jumper that was a 2x. I just took the hem in because I am short and I love how it just hangs off me.

Too expensive!!! Even at 50% off!!! I usually give 5 stars for over all on businesses. But here's a 2star for the struggling people! This ain't no Beverly Hills! Lower the prices. You'll push more sales. And,you'll still be able to help donate! Win,Win situation for everyone!

I waited 3 weeks and took off work to be told they wouldn’t accept a computer cabinet saying it is an entertainment center - WRONG! It has a place for computer, keyboard, printer, router, etc with retractable shelves and cabinet doors and some storage for paper and work files. Very disappointed as it is in good condition and the reason is they don't take entertainment centers. I can’t believe a needy family with a student or a home office, or starting a business could not use it, if even for storage. I asked to speak to the supervisor because the woman told me she just spoke to her. Guess what? The supervisor was now unavailable and she didn’t know where to find her. She just spoke to the supervisor a minute prior. Supervisor was avoiding me because then the movers were told to leave by same supervisor on the phone. Unprofessional. The movers would not even help me move it to the curb (20 feet) so I can put a free sign on it. Now I’m out a days pay as well. Won’t use them again.
