I am a sourdough bread guy and Kings Roost has the high quality flour that makes superior loaves. The shop is great, has a demonstration Kitchen, all kinds of DIY stuff. I wish I didn't see the grain milling because I will be back at some point to buy a mill and start milling my own wheat.

Great classes and fun learning experience. They also have wonderful supplies for your D.IY. venture into soap-making, cheese-making, beer-making, or whatever-it-be. Learn about hydroponics or raising chickens, or pick up books and supplies for pickling or mushroom growing. So much to learn!

This loving family oriented company is what innovation and D.I.Y. is all about. The only reason I didn't give it five stars ( but i did give it 4) is because I don't understand why there are so few followers yet. We need to do a better job of spreading the news about these budding entrepreneurs, or perhaps we could call them \enviropreneurs\ :) Perhaps this is a new and young venture....but I really want to encourage y'all at King's Roost that up here in Ontario, we think you guys are creating a really thoughtful and kooky and wonderful thing! Keep up the good work. I discovered your site through your soap making youtube videos! God bless ya!

Took the class, Thursday, May 19th with Roe and Caterina at 7pm. Loved this class, it was informative, fun, and interactive, the instructions were clear and detailed. My objective of taking this class was to make my own kombucha which is significantly cheaper than store-bought and you can add therapeutic (and delicious!) flavors. Some suggestions: - the start time of the class should be 7:15pm - parking should be mentioned on the class registration in the rear - it was a class of 10, felt that the class should be capped at 7 - I would've appreciated an overall orientation of the handout, realized when I got home there was the recipe for the enzyme peel in the back, would have printed the handout back-to-back -would have appreciated a pdf of the handout before/after class as a reference - I would give an overview of a SCOBY, have the class touch and feel (so everyone walks away knowing what is a healthy/unhealthy scoby, the formation of a scoby, etc) -felt the first batch could of tea could had been used as a teaching prop, if it was bought to the kitchen island to engage the students - there should be an introduction to kombucha and inventive ways to use kombucha in daily living eg) kombucha ceviche, kombucha vinaigrette, kombucha pear sorbet Keep up the good work! Overall, I will be returning, as I am always curious about the DIY culture. Cheers!
