The food was bomb
Haitian food! their rotisserie chicken is quite tasty. same with their beef plate. the tastes are definitely different--a bit like eating cuban food, if you're familiar with that. there is no parking, so you'll have to find street parking, but this doesn't seem like a very crowded area
In the midst of gentrification/re-development, it is nice to see Echo Park has not lost all its ethnic culture. My favorite local eatery, a must for Haitian culture/food. George tops it off as an incredible host. I wish they had a place like this in Crenshaw or Inglewood . . . . .
Rotisserie chicken at it's finest! Be sure to ask to put some "chicken juice" on top... If it's your first time and you're hungry, go for the 1/2 chix instead of the 1/4...or you'll be kicking yourself later.
Awesome hole in the wall for some awesome chicken and rice. Be sure to puke on the habanero onion sauce.
