I really enjoyed this walk. I've lived in the DC area for over 6 years and never knew about this place! It's very well marked however I wished there were some signs at the beginning by the parking area showing hikers where to actually find the beginning of the trail. They even have heated bathrooms! This is a great place to go either by yourself, on a date or with a friend.

Just grateful for another area of land preserved from development that is beautiful and with the added bonus of water access. Right next door to Jug Bay Wetlands, where slaying snakesheads is righteous. Wonder watching nature take back over this land once cleared for farming. The day wasn't the sunniest or driest of days but the farther we wandered the better it got. Beautiful woodlands and just at right time for fungus foraging as the heat goes up with the humidity and there is shade from above from 100 year old trees.

Nice wide trails. A number of different trails to hike. Not much difference in the trails. Some go down to Jug Bay Wetlands. Very pleasant hiking. Some sun. Light breezes. Temp mid-40s. Plenty of other hikers but room to spread out.

The hiking trails are great and well marked, but the best part is the boardwalk out into the marsh!

Great, peaceful walk on the blue trail---about 4 miles. Saw very interesting mushrooms, bluebirds, fall flowers, and pollinators.
