Would love to know the hours the gate are open to go across. Place is cool to check out.

Free to enter as long as it is open. Overlook area where you can see the dams/locks for ships coming in. Not too much to see, but good place to stop by for a quick visit
this place is so amazing to waste time in to look at boats floating in the water. But it is very family friendly there's a lot of stuff that you can read and they also read it to you if you put a nice shiny buttons. well as you can see the downtown Louisville from the place as well.
A must see for the whole family fortunately I knew somebody that worked there and I got the grand tour that was like in 1986 I can imagine what it looks like now but it was always a fun place
I would reccomend coming here if you have the time. There is a great viewing area that contains little booklets that are free that contains the history of the US Lock & Dam. Be sure to get on the bridge that crosses the Locks and watch as barges go through. They keep the area clean and there are benches to sit on if a break is needed.
A neat part of the river
