The McPherson family has been a pioneering family in Texas grape growing and wine making for over 40 years. Our label was created in 2000 to honor the winemaker's father, Dr. Clinton "Doc"​ McPherson, considered one of the "Fathers"​ of the modern Texas wine industry. Our winery and tasting room opened in fall of 2008. From his start in the Texas wine industry, Kim McPherson has advocated the importance of growing varieties that best fit our Texas terroir and "planting to the land."​ We focus on warm-climate varieties that he feels are best suited for Texas's soils and climate.

I need to apologize first off because I have been here many times since 2014 and realized I have not left a review. My experience here has always been great we make it a point to take good friends here. We have been lucky to get a tour from Kim himself, networked with business owners, and of course done wine tastings. My girlfriend loves their “Blush” wine and as for me I tend to go with a good dry red wine. The staff is knowledgeable and seem to study the wines well. I want to give Abby part of the credit for talking my girlfriend into trying more wines and sending us home with 8 bottles this most recent visit.
