Don’t miss the Downeast Charter Boat Tours while visiting Lubec and Downeast Maine. You can expect to see lighthouses, whales, eagles, and of course, Old Sow. Old Sow whirlpool is the largest tidal whirlpool in the western hemisphere. Such a beautiful area with so much to take in and do. I will be coming back soon.

Amazing opportunity to be given an area-history lesson by the friendly and knowledgeable captain all while taking in beautiful ocean views of not only Maine but Canada, too. The whales, porpoises, seals, eagles, fish and other birds and marine life that you will encounter allow for awesome photos and videos to be taken, and great memories to be made. My wife and I enjoyed the tour very much in 2019, and while we couldn't go again this year during our annual trip Downeast (from MA) due to COVID and international water issues/concerns, we absolutely plan to go next year in 2021, or certainly at our first opportunity. Next time we go we hope to bring our 3 young kids because we know they'll love it as much as we did.
Had an amazingly informative Beautiful ride from Eastport to Lubec maine and back. Very friendly Captain and first mate. Very inexpensive. Would recommend them to everyone. Absolutely amazing time with them. Loved it! \u003c3
This boat tour was a wonderful experience and well worth the money! We saw bald eagles, porpoises, seals, and a couple of minke whales. The boat ride was so nice and the captain is very friendly and informative. Glad we went with this company because the tour groups are small, making it more personal.
An incredible experience! Beautiful views of the water and surrounding islands paired with the knowledge of our tour guide (whose name I regretfully didn’t get) made for a wonderful experience. The best way to get to know this area is from the water, and aside from the beauty of the scenery, we also got to see bald eagles, whales, porpoises, and seals. It is a must-do when in the area. An additional sight was the lake’s whirlpool, which can get up to 250 feet long. Overall, it was a unique and entertaining experience. To be done again!
